Design
Qflex is designed very differently from all other middleware management products
in order to achieve following goals:
- Provide new functionality that is not included out-of-box
- Reduce administrative efforts
- Significantly reduce cost of ownership
- Create intuitive web based interface
- Allow customers to choose their own environments
As a result Qflex was designed in the following way:
- No host-based agents that have to reside with Queue Manager
- No channel exits
- Uses standard MQ API
- 100% J2EE compliant web application
- Extremely small footprint (~11MB)
- Install and upgrade consists of one war file
- Runs on any OS that is supported by Tomcat(free) or WebSphere AS
- Supports all major commercial and free databases
- Has built-in intuitive naming convention engine
